There aren't a lot of great reasons to go with the standard Magenta plan. You have to pay $25 more per month (!) for the Magenta Max package to get HD video streaming, or pay $3 for a day pass on lower plans to get HD video streaming. The Essentials plan only includes 3G speeds if you use your phone as a Wi-Fi hot spot, which is terribly slow. TIRED: The Essentials and regular Magenta tier still throttle data. On the Magenta plan, you also get a “free” subscription to Netflix because, hey, why not? On the Magenta plans, you get unlimited in-flight Wi-Fi and texting on flights with Gogo. The Essentials and Magenta plans will not throttle back your data speeds until you've used 50 gigabytes or 100 gigabytes of LTE data, respectively, which is quite a lot. Those aged 55-plus can also subscribe for discounts on any of the three tiers. This includes unlimited talk, text, and 4G LTE data, plus 5G access at no extra charge if you've got a 5G-capable device. With this deal, each line will be getting the T-Mobile Essentials plan. If you opt out of autopay, you'll pay an additional $5 per line per month. You'll also need to enroll in autopay to get that $100/month price. This price does not include taxes and fees, so you'll end up paying a bit more when those are factored in. That means you'll be paying just $25 per line, and you can get two more lines for just $20 each if you want them. Starting July 24, T-Mobile will offer four lines of unlimited service for $100 per month. And to celebrate, T-Mobile is rolling out a special deal. T-Mobile recently revealed that it'll unify the T-Mo and Sprint brands on August 2, marking another major milestone in the merger of the two companies.
